THE PENNINE LAND ROVER CLUB 4x4
We are a friendly but more
than slightly nuts group of off-roader's who like nothing
better than to take our motors and get them very dirty and
brutalised at trials events no matter what the weather. We
battle wind, rain, snow and (very) occasionally sun, all
with a view to seeing just how far we really can push the
boundaries of performance
without killing ourselves or each other (preferably!!).

 |
|
We do this at least once a
month usually on the second Sunday in the
month except for bank holidays which twice a year are a
three day event.
Our events are CCV trials run under the MSA rules and we welcome members from other clubs who wish to come and drive at our trials.
There is also
the Northern Trials League which is now in its third year
and will have members from the six clubs participating, each club hosting one round. |

Hi to all
members of MSA and ARC Trials clubs!!.
You are
welcome to come and join us at any of our events and if it
doesn't scare the pants off you we can probably find you a half
decent motor to buy so you can have a go yourself. We like fresh
blood (so to speak!!), it keeps us on top of our game and stops
us getting complacent and lazy!.
=============================
We're
running RTV (Road Trim Vehicle) trials at our events,
throughout 2010 (except NTL event in July), as well as CCV's, for those of you of a more
sensible disposition or who want to play but can't afford a full
on trials motor as well as their road-going toy. Come and have a
go, we might just convert you to the dark side!
=============================
Our next
event is at Hawshaw in deepest, darkest, Lothersdale
(Click
Here For Directions)
Clerk of Course is Martin Carter, a fully paid up member of
the "Get Barnes'y on his roof" club so don't expect
any prisoners to be taken. Do expect however nasty surprises
in unexpected places as these tend to be a bit of a speciality.
You CCV boys need to make
sure your tyre pressures are up to a minimum of 12 psi (18psi
for RTV'ers) before presenting to scrutineering. I've looked in
the "Blue Book" and there's a fifty point penalty for
under-inflated tyres (mwah, hah, hah, hah, POWER)!!. Big Brother
will be checking!
Scrutineering will be 8.30 till 9.30am with pre-run meeting at
9.45am
